The leader of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, has said that his organisation now has long-precision missiles in Syria. According to him, this has or would change the balance of power with Israel.
Nasrallah added that the newly-acquired advanced weaponry would be used in a future conflict should Israel threaten its bases in Lebanon.
In a speech marking the Shia holy festival of Ashura, Nasrallah said :
“All your attempts to prevent Hezbollah from possessing accurate missiles are foiled. We have accurate missiles that if used in any future war will change the entire equation.
“No matter what you do to cut the route, the matter is over and the resistance possesses precision and non-precision rockets and weapons capabilities. If Israel imposes a war on Lebanon, Israel will face a fate and a reality it has never expected on any day.”
Considering that Nasrallah also said that Hezbollah would maintain its paramilitary presence in Syria, it is certain that Iran and Hezbollah now constitute a twin-menace to Israel in Syria.
