Rangers in the Northern Territories of Australia have captured a croc which weighed in at a whopping 1323 lbs
According to officials, the chase for the 15ft long saltwater crocodile has been on for ten years.
Sydney Morning Herald reported that the hunt began after rumours of a “large dark tail” spotted near a local boat ramp.
It was claimed that because the crocodile could well be over 60 years old, it was not that difficult to trap.
Croc captures are not uncommon in the region. Earlier this year seven crocodiles were pulled from the river. These included two large saltwater crocs — 12.8ft and 15ft in length.
People in the area are being asked to “be crocwise”. This is considering that “croc danger is real”.
People are asked not to become complacent or risk their lives.
