AJ : Bringing back the excitement into Heavyweight Boxing

AJ and New Zealand's WBO champion collide at the 80,000 Principality Stadium in Cardiff

Most people would agree that Anthony Joshua has not only breathed excitement back into the heavyweight division but has also restored dignity to the hard old game. It is hardly surprising that sponsors and advertisers who are not exactly enarmoured with prize-fighting are opening their boardroom doors wide to admit his broad shoulders.

The Joshua team consider then that the Saturday March 31 fight would further cement the reputation of their man.

When the two fighters recently met, as a prelude to their title unification duel, Parker tried to provoke the British man. To his immense credit, however, Joshua held his temper. There were flashes of anger in his eyes but he repeatedly paused long enough to measure his words. He refused to be provoked.

The effect was actually more menacing than an ugly descent into lurid threats. The pent-up tension in a natural-born fighting man glowered at Parker through those silences.

Joshua insists he cannot afford to lose to Parker as 'too many people are relying on me'

Most fight fans are salivating, they can't wait for the start of the first round.
