Arsene Wenger's 20 year reign as Manager of Arsenal is coming to an end.
It is not for nothing that Massimiliano Allegri is rumoured to have thrown his hat in the ring as a possible successor. The Sun actually claims that Allegri's agent has already held positive discussions with the Gunners. Allegri, 49, is the current Manager of Juventus. This rumour is being fuelled all the more by the fact that Wenger is yet to sign a new contract to replace the current deal which runs out at the end of the season. The old war horse has himself confirmed that he will not decide his future until the closing stages of the campaign. Other possible replacements being considered to take over from this exponent of silky football are Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid and Eddie How of Bournemouth.
