A FORMER judge who led Guatemala’s football federation has become the first person sentenced in the US probe into Fifa corruption.
Hector Trujillo, 63, was yesterday jailed for eight months in New York after admitting wire fraud and conspiracy.
He accepted nearly £150,000 in bribes from a firm trying to secure sports marketing deals.
He was arrested in 2015 during a Disney cruise in Florida with his family.
The US probe has so far led to indictments or guilty pleas from more than 40 football and marketing executives.
