According to Genesis, God told Noah to enter the ark with his household and animals before a devastating flood that lasted 150 days until the ship ended up on Mount Ararat
EXPERTS are convinced they will find Noah's Ark on a mountain in Turkey where it was previously claimed traces of a mysterious wooden structure had been discovered.
Investigators claim that the biblical ship could finally be uncovered on Mount Ararat in Agri.
American researcher Professor Paul Esprante was among more than 100 scientists speaking at the three-day International Symposium of Mount Ararat and Noah's Ark which studies evidence about its final resting place.
According to Genesis, God told Noah to enter the ark with his household and animals before a devastating flood and then the ship floated for 150 days until coming to rest on Mount Ararat when the water finally began receding.
Experts have claimed traces of a wooden ship were found on Mount Ararat seven years ago, but some doubted the authenticity.
The Express reports Prof Esprante is convinced the narrative could be true and is calling for more "rigorous, serious scientific work" in the Ararat region.
