Ordinarily, one would have thought that Chelsea should be celebrating a player who has a better strike-rate than Harry Kane.  Surprisingly, Michy Batshuayi faces an uncertain future at Stamford Bridge.  He joined the club for £33.1 million last year from Marseille.

So far, Batshuayi has scored 16 goals in 1,234 minutes of competitive football for Chelsea - an average of one every 73 minutes.  Kane, the Tottenham hitman, on the other hand scores once every 115 minutes.

In a sane situation, these figures should generate excitement at Stamford Bridge.

For some strange reasons, club-record buy Alvaro Morata has actually been more celebrated for his seven goals following a £58 million move from Real Madrid in July, but his return of one goal every 106 minutes does not measure up to Batshuayi's.

It appears that, from the manager, Conte, to the fans, Batshuayi still has a lot of convincing to do.
