Bomber Salman Abedi was rescued from Libya's civil war by the Royal Navy
You may not believe it, but the Manchester Arena suicide bomber was rescued from the killing fields of libya three years before he killed 22 people. What a way to repay those who had done everything to save him from certain destruction.
19-year-old Abedi was snatched from Libya along with his younger brother Hashem and more than 100 other British citizens. They had boarded HMS Enterprise in Tripoli in August 2014. Abedi's name had been included on a list of stranded British citizens handed to the crew in charge of the evacuation.
The ship conveyed them to Malta where they caught a flight back to the UK. As far as Salman Abedi was concerned, this meant nothing as he went on to kill 22 people, including seven children, in May 2017 at an Ariana Grande concert with a homemade suicide vest.
