Kim Jong-un has praised president Trump’s “energetic and extraordinary efforts” to improve relations between their two countries
Although many observers continue to see him as an insincere charlatan, Kim Jong-Un is determined to do practically anything to launder his image. Despite the fact that questions remained over the North’s commitment to denuclearisation, the stocky tyrant has written Mr Trump showering encomiums on him about his efforts to normalise relations between North Korea and the US. Ominously, Kim refused to say a word about 'ongoing efforts' to denuclearise.
Surprisingly, the president tweeted the “very nice note” from Mr Kim three hours after arriving at the US ambassador’s residence in London.
The letter was dated July 6, the day that Mike Pompeo, the US secretary of state, wrapped up a two-day visit to Pyongyang. Interestingly, the very next day North Korea released a statement accusing Mr Pompeo of making “gangster-like” and “unilateral” demands for its nuclear disarmament.
