Project Ahmad : Mossad's dossier on Iran's nuclear aspirations

Israel's PM Binyamin Netanyahu (pictured) is planning to use the fruits of the audacious raid to undermine support for the nuclear deal struck in 2015

Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel launches diplomatic offensive to convince Western powers of Iran's duplicity

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli premier, is embarking on a tour of Europe in order to convince Western leaders that President Trump did the right thing by pulling out of the Iran nuclear deal.

It would be recalled that a cache of 100,000 files was snatched from a Tehran warehouse by agents of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency, in January.

It has now been revealed that one of the key documents found in the cache is a memorandum that formally hands responsibility for the production of weapons-grade enriched uranium to the Iranian defence ministry.

Some of these key documents are being shared with the security services of Britain, France and Germany so that Western powers would know that Mr Trump's decision on the Iran nuclear deal was rational and logical.

According to intelligence reports, the contents of these documents put a big question mark on Iran’s contention that it had never pursued a nuclear weapons programme and that it needed to enrich uranium purely for peaceful purposes.

Now, who will blame the Israelis if they feel the most threatened by a nuclear-armed Iran?
