Prince Georg-Constantin died in the grounds of the stately home where he proposed to his British wife
The 41-year-old prince was the youngest child of Prince Wilhelm Ernst Emich Georg Rudolf and his former wife, Eva Kovarcz. Prince Georg-Constantin of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach was successor to the House of Wettin. Sadly, he was thrown to his death during a ride at Apethorpe Palace, Northamptonshire, on Saturday night.
Two ambulances arrived at around 8.30pm but paramedics could not save the prince, who was the founder of a renewable energy company. He was also thought to have been involved in reintroducing wolves to Scotland.
The prince met his wife, Olivia Rachelle Page, 38, at the Last Night of the Proms in 2011. They married in 2015 at a register office in Weimar and later moved to London.
