The deposed tyrant has condemned his successor over ‘illegal’ power grab
Ordinarily, one would have thought that a 94-year-old former president ought to have gone away quietly into blissful retirement, but not Robert Mugabe.
The former tyrant has denounced the man who toppled him as an “illegal” president who betrayed Zimbabwe.
Bleating, the former president said:
“Zimbabwe, my beautiful Zimbabwe, the country I worked for, I left my teaching profession to help with the struggle to get back from the hands of the settler and put it into the hands of our people.”
“We are topsy turvy. We used to be the pride, not just of Zimbabwe but of all of southern Africa, but we are not that any more. We are a disgrace to ourselves, a disgrace to our community and to Africa. Why did we do this? Just for the glory of an individual.”
Surprisingly, the former president failed to mention that he was responsible for bringing the country to her knees.
