The Manchester United manager will work for five days as a pundit for Russia Today (RT), after rejecting offers from the BBC and ITV

José Mourinho has been offered more than £1 million to work as a pundit for a Kremlin- controlled TV station at the World Cup.  In a strange development, the Manchester United manager has refused to answer questions about the assignment.

However, members of parliament from both sides of the divide have called on 55-year-old Mourinho to renege on the punditry deal.

Tom Tugendhat, the Conservative MP for Tonbridge and Malling and chairman of the foreign affairs select committee, has a clear message for the Portuguese:
“Russia Today is an organ of state influence not a media channel. I would urge José Mourinho, whose talents would be appreciated by any international organisation at the moment, to find one that better represents his views.”
