Real Madrid agree world
record £120m deal
for French prodigy
Real Madrid expect to sign Kylian Mbappe
in the next fortnight after agreeing a
stunning world record £120million deal
with Monaco.
The 18-year-old caught the eye of Europe’s
elite with a series of brilliant performances
in Leonardo Jardim’s title-winning
side last term.
Monaco have already sold big hitters such as
Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko this
summer and had planned on keeping Mbappe
for another season. The teenager spearheaded
Monaco’s ascent to the Champions League
semi-finals and there’s been widespread interest
from across Europe in the Frenchman’s services.
However, according to the Sun, Madrid have agreed
a deal with the French giants to take Mbappe to the Bernabeu for a world record £120m.
Mbappe’s arrival will be a significant coup for
Madrid, who saw off competition from Arsenal,
Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain
for the forward.?
Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen on
bringing in a star name after offloading the
likes of James Rodriguez and Alvaro
Morata to fund Mbappe’s move.
The Brazilian is believed to have agreed
personal terms with the French giants and
Barcelona cannot prevent him leaving
if PSG meet the clause.
Paul Pogba currently holds the world record
for his £89m move to Old Trafford last summer.
