USAIN BOLT:

CAN HE DO IT AGAIN?

Usain Bolt insists he 'should be fine for London' after unconvincing win over weak field
Jamaican superstar labours to victory in Ostrava
With two months away from the World Championships, there are now concerns about his form, his fitness and even his mind.  Can Usain Bolt do it again?  He has held the world spell-bound since he ran 9.58 seconds when he first broke the world record at the World Championships in Berlin in 2009.

Here in the Czech Republic his 100 metres time was  10.6 seconds.  The fact that he only marginally beat Yunier Perez, an ageing Cuban running a personal best of 10.9 seconds, is a little concerning.
Considering that there was an admission of 'some health issues,' Bolt will be visiting his doctor, Hans-Wilhein Muller-Wohlfahrt, in Germany soon.

As the speed merchant himself would admit, Bolt is not unaware that with age, his powers appear to be waning.  Nevertheless, he believes he should be fine for London where he intends to defend his title.

There is no doubt that in recent times he has had more on his mind, most notably the passing of his close friend Germaine Mason, the British high jumper who was partying with Bolt the night he crashed his motorcycle and died.  Bolt said he lost three weeks of training to grief.
His coach, Glen Miller, has risen to his defence saying, 'He is a champion and a fighter.  In time, he will overcome and be able to continue his life.'

With the likes of Andre De Grasse and Christian Coleman coming along fast, the sprints legend knows he cannot afford to let up.
