Keep your eyes on the road: This sleeping dog doesn't seem too interested in tackling traffic 

These worn-out pups prove that most spots appear inviting when you're really in need of forty winks. 

Along with chasing their tail, fetching sticks and barking at postmen, sleeping is one of the things dogs do best.

And occasionally pet pooches are too exhausted to even make it to their dog bed, as these hilarious photos compiled from around the web show.

Shared by owners who've caught their beloved pets in all manner of odd positions, the snaps include a puppy snoring with its head resting on a car steering wheel, a dog wrapped up in a sleeping bag, and even one pooch curled up snugly inside a guitar case.

 

Even apparently uncomfortable choices, such as wedged between two sofa cushions or even inside the dishwasher, didn't faze the sleepy hounds featured here.
