Wealthy developing nations to lose British Aid

International Development Secretary Penny Mordaunt no longerwishes to invest in countries who 'put their hands in their pockets'

UK is to cut foreign aid to wealthier developing countries which are not doing enough to invest in their own people, the new International Development Secretary has said.

Hear Ms Mordaunt:
“It will no longer be enough for a project simply to be achieving good things.

“I want the governments of developing countries to step up and take responsibility for investing in their own people, in health care or education for example.

“If it chooses not to, that will inform our decisions around our funding.”

This possible move by the International Development Secretary will not be surprising considering that many leaders and ministers from these developing countries steal the money meant to improve the lives of their own people.  They thus expose their people to ridicule before the world turning them to escapees and refugees in other lands.
The British government has a £13 billion aid budget.
