The suspected attackers have been detained after trying to take their own lives following the attack in Perm, western Russia
A pair of hapless teenagers who were “big fans” of the infamous Columbine school massacre in the US have carried out a similarly horrific attack in Perm, western Russia.
At least 13 people were injured when two masked knifemen stormed a Russian school today, according to reports.
The duo are said to have been seized after trying to take their own lives following the mass attack.
A source in the FSB – the Russian equivalent of MI5 – said:
“Two criminals in masks attacked a teacher and students.
“As a result of the armed attack, nine people received knife wounds – one teacher and eight students.”
That figure has since risen to 13 – including the two attackers – according to Russia's Tass News Agency.
Gory pictures appear to show blood spattered in the corridors of the building amid claims the victims were stabbed in their necks.
A source said: “There is blood everywhere in the school.”
The local health ministry said: “A woman teacher and a 16-year-old student are in a serious condition. They have neck wounds.”
The pair are described as being in a “grave condition”, while other reports said a ten-year-old was badly wounded in the neck.
One of the suspects is hauled away by Russian cops after the attack
