Fraudster Kittithradilok was convicted of 2,653 counts of fraud and was sentenced to five years in jail for each count, totalling 13,265 years
A Thai conman who was sentenced to more than 13,000 years in prison has had his jail time halved to 6,600 years for pleading guilty.
34-year-old Pudit Kittithradilok was found guilty of running a pyramid scheme that scammed some 40,000 people out of around £120million.
The daring fraudster even organised seminars encouraging people to invest in bogus businesses.
Optimistic investors were deceived into parting with their money which was 'to be pumped' into property, beauty care and used car companies, the Bangkok Post reports.
Victims were promised big returns on their cash and encouraged to get others to join.
But new money was simply handed over to previous investors while the organiser got rich from skimming off the top.
His two companies have been fined £30million, and he was ordered to pay £13million in compensation to his 2,653 victims, with yearly interest of 7.5 per cent
