As a club, the chances are that if you signed a player for almost £35 million and pay him £150,000 every week, it would not be too much for you to expect some loyalty and some basic discipline in return.  Surprisingly, this has not been the case in respect of Diego Costa, the Chelsea striker.  You can ask Antonio Conte, his manager, who believes the striker is not fully committed to Chelsea.
Costa was bought from Atletico Madrid three years ago.  He has averaged around 20 goals a season which is not a bad return for a striker.

However, the player had this habit of always pining for Spain and constantly expressing his love for his old club and how he missed living in Madrid.  Diego also loved engaging in petulant acts of rebellion which can influence other members of staff.  During the last pre-season training, the striker refused to partake in pattern-of-play exercises.  This did not go down well with the newly-hired Conte, the manager.

It was not unusual for the Brazil-born Spain international to get into disputes with fitness coaches on the training ground.  He had also been known to make angry gestures asking to be substituted during matches.  There were times when he would drink beer in the dressing room and then post the video on social media.  When Chelsea won the title at West Brom, Costa threatened to let off the fire extinguisher as Conte addressed the media.

The club now seem to have had enough of him.
