The plans for Google's £1 billion London Campus are on course. The Silicon Valley giant lodged an updated set of proposals with Camden council only two days ago. It is definitely a vision worth beholding.
The estimated 4,500 workers at Google's vast new King's Cross campus will enjoy an unprecedented range of facilities including a swimming pool, a 200-metre rooftop running trail and covered sports hall for basketball. The 870,000 sq ft building is the first the firm has designed for itself outside United States.
The facilities at the London headquarters will put to shame those that can be found in a five-star hotel. According to the plans, these are to 'ensure the health and well-being of staff and foster the innovation and creativity that defines the organisation.'
