FRENCH MINISTER KNOCKED OUT WHILE CAMPAIGNING

Kosciusko-Morizet being attended to

An ex-minister has been knocked unconscious while on the campaign trail.  The incident happened as she handed out election leaflets in a Paris market.

Former environment minister Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet is now recovering in hospital.  The mother-of-two was attacked by a shaven-headed man as she campaigned for votes in the French capital.  She is fighting to retain her National Assembly seat.
