The veteran manager, who served as Mourinho's tutor at Barcelona is still seething with rage that he was ousted by his one-time apprentice. It would be remembered that Mourinho made a big play for the Old Trafford hotseat while Van Gaal was still in charge.

Ajax and United meet in Wednesday's Europa League final in Stckholm, with Van Gaal having managed both clubs, though Ajax is the club closer to his heart.
There have been reports that Van Gaal has been giving the Dutch club tips on how to beat United. He was recently spotted deep in discussion with Ajax boss Peter Bosz. The pair were seen together at a gathering of Dutch league managers just a few days ago, with Bosz of the opinion that no one knows Jose Mourinho's tactics as well as Van Gaal.
