Now in the twilight of his illustrious career, England's soccer captain is seriously considering his future. He is on the verge of losing his place in the Manchester United team despite being captain and Gareth Southgate, the England Manager, has also excluded him from the recently named squad that would take on Scotland in the world cup qualification matches coming up soon. Even Everton, his boyhood club, who were courting him of late have cooled their interest.

The 31 year-old striker is now considering two Chinese Super League offers worth £50 million over two years. Without a doubt, that is a life-changing sum.
Hence Rooney is discussing the prospect of moving to China with his family and has promised to announce his decision shortly. With the China offers worth £480, 000 a week, it appears his decision will be a straightforward one. Said Rooney, 'I just have to make a decision in terms of football, and that's what I'll do. I'll do that in the next few weeks with my family. I've played for two clubs and they are the only Premier League clubs I'll ever play for.' |

As regards the snub by Southgate, the England Manager has said that Rooney should not be written off. However, it would be interesting to see how Wayne can find his way back to the England set-up in time for next year's World Cup in Russia.
