Legend Ballack refuses to believe Joachim Low is still Germany manager

Ballack, who earned 98 caps for Die Mannschaft during a glittering playing career, questioned whether the time had come for Low to depart

Michael Ballack was capped 98 times by Germany

Considering that the former world champions produced an embarrassing title defence in Russia, former Germany stars are starting to question the wisdom of retaining Joachim Low as manager. One of such stars is Michael Ballack, the former Chelsea midfielder.

Veteran Ballack, who earned 98 caps for Die Mannschaft during a great playing career, is of the opinion that the time has come for Low to leave especially because the Germans did not cover themselves in glory in Russia. It would be recalled that the former champions were knocked out of the tournament at the group stage having suffered humiliating defeats against South Korea and Mexico.

The Germany squad have now reconvened for another two international fixtures. They play Holland in Amsterdam on Saturday evening before taking on the French in Paris three days later.

Eagle-eyed observers are keen to see that the Germans are on their way back to winning ways.
