Kieran Trippier shone like a thousand stars while playing for England at the recently concluded soccer World Cup in Russia. It is therefore hardly surprising that he has been the subject of admiring glances from home and abroad.
Trippier was regarded by many as the best right back of the tournament. Brilliant at set pieces, his free-kick fired the Three Lions ahead against Croatia in the semi-final.
Real Madrid expected to be one of many clubs interested in him, with the north London
outfit now valuing him at £50 million.
Should Trippier or some other England players move abroad, it would be good news for the
Three Lions as this would enable the players to have the experience of playing in other
leagues.
In recent times, nations that have won the World Cup have always had their players playing
in top leagues other than their own. For example, France who have just won the
competition have players plying their trade in France, Italy, England, Spain and Germany.
This always makes the players more streetwise at tournaments.
