76-year-old Man Utd legend, Sir Alex Ferguson, was rushed to Salford Royal Hospital on May 5 where he was placed in an induced coma. This was after he had a brain haemorrhage. Thankfully, he was released a month later.
The former Red Devils manager posted a video on Twitter today via the Man Utd account thanking medics for their help. He also wished Jose Mourinho well for the beginning of the season.
Sir Alex said:
"Hello. Just a quick message first of all to thank the medical staff at Maccesfield, Salford Royal and Alexandra hospitals.
"Believe me, without those people, who gave me such great care, I would not be sitting here today. So thank you from me and my family, thank you very much.
"It's made me feel so humble as all the messages I've had from all over the world, wishing me the best and the good wishes do resonate very very strongly with me, so thank you for that support you've given me.
"And lastly, I'll be back late in the season to watch the team. In the meantime, all the best to José and the players.
"Thank you very much."
