The new US embassy will be formally opened today in Jerusalem by a delegation including Ms Trump, her husband, Jared Kushner, and Steven Mnuchin, the treasury secretary.
On the eve of the embassy move, thousands of Israelis took to the streets to celebrate President Trump’s decision.
The Israeli prime minister thanked Ivanka Trump and the rest of the US delegation for making Israel’s alliance with the US stronger than ever.
It is a historical fact that until it was sacked in AD 70, Jerusalem was the capital of the Jewish nation. However, in a duplicitous move that ignored history, the UN defined Jerusalem as an international city due to the religious significance it holds for Jews, Muslims and Christians.
No sane person would want to deny Israel the privilege of reclaiming her heritage. In any case God and history are on the side of the Jewish nation.
