Sam Allardyce has made a massive £13.5million in pay-offs after being axed by clubs
Considering that Sam Allardyce is a good manager, it is strange that he has this habit of being ushered out by clubs. The latest club to sack him is Everton whom he kept in the top ten in the Premier League this season.
The former England manager was summoned to meet owner Moshiri yesterday morning where he was told he is no longer wanted at Goodison Park. At the fiery meeting Allardyce accused the club of hanging him out to dry and being run badly.
However, those who may be tempted to weep for Allardyce should think twice considering that the former Everton manager will be pocketing £6m after leaving Goodison. It is the latest in a long line of hefty compensation packages.
In 2016 MPs criticised Allardyce's "sickening" £1m pay-off after being removed as national boss considering that he was in charge of the Three Lions for just 67 days.
In 2010 Rovers owners Venky's said they sacked Allardyce two years after he was appointed because they wanted "good football." He was paid £2.5m as severance package.
In 2008 he was paid £4m after being sacked by Newcastle United.
