Kim Jong-un meets delegates from South

Believe it or not, relations between North and South Korea are certainly on the mend

In a surprise move, Kim Jong-un has met a delegation of top-level South Korean envoys in Pyongyang for the first time since he came to power in North Korea in 2011.
The South Korean officials included Suh Hoon, head of the country’s spy agency, and Chung Eui-yong, the national security chief.




Kim hosted a lavish dinner for the envoys, the Seoul’s presidential office told the South Korean news agency Yonhap.

Nevertheless, the prospect of talks between North Korea and the United States is not on the table at the moment, even though Pyongyang has agreed to develop its relations with Washington in tandem with warmer inter-Korean relations.

Pyongyang has expressed “willingness” to hold talks with the US, but the Americans insist that the rogue regime must first take steps toward denuclearisation.
