The Manchester United manager has launched a ferocious attack on Frank de Boer, describing the former Crystal Palace manager as a failed Premier League boss
The Portuguese boss was angry and shocked that De Boer had the balls to criticise him as a manager.
De Boer, who was dismissed in September after just 77 days in charge of Palace, angered Mourinho over the weekend. He claimed that the Portuguese was not the right manager to aid the development of Marcus Rashford, the 20-year-old Manchester United prodigy.
Referring to Mourinho's handling of Rashford, De Boer said, “It’s a pity that his manager is Mourinho because you want to give him time and he can make mistakes. But Mourinho is not like that: he wants to get results. If he has one or two not-good games, he puts him out.”
“I read some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer — seven matches, seven defeats, zero goals — and what he was saying was that it was not good for Marcus Rashford to have a coach like me because the most important thing for me is to win. If he was coached by Frank he would lose because he lost every game.”
