Elon Musk has said that moving to Mars isn’t just an option for the wealthy
One of the very few people rich enough to contemplate relocating to the Red Planet is SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk.
Some have suggested that very soon other billionaires may also start planning to relocate to Mars.

However, the man himself has insisted that the Martian colony he’s planning to build won’t just be an ‘escape hatch for rich people.’
Speaking at SXSW, the billionaire hinted that people whose bank balance is in the red will also be permitted to live on the Red Planet. Musk said it would only house ‘the most elementary infrastructure.’
‘Just a base to create propellant, a power station, blast domes in which to grow crops, all the sort of fundamentals without which you could not survive,’ he added.
