THE World Cup qualifiers are back, with many of the world's biggest names still looking to seal their places in Russia.
Germany were the victors the last time and will be looking to book their ticket as soon as possible, while runners-up Argentina are making hard work of it in South America's marathon qualifying campaign.
The next World Cup - the 21st overall - in 2018 will be held in Russia.
The month-long tournament will take place between June 14 and July 15.
Russia have 12 venues for the competition spanning 11 different host cities.

Russia are gearing up for the tournament
As ever the tournament will consist of 32 national teams - with host nation Russia joined by 31 qualifiers from across the globe. The current holders no longer qualify automatically.
Of those 32, 13 more European sides will make it to the finals with a further five coming from Africa.
Then four or five will join from Asia, three or four from North America, four or five from South America and either none or one from Oceania.
That is all dependant on the inter-confederation play-off results, with the teams who failed to qualify outright pit against each other between November 6 and November 14, 2017.
