The last probation and the rulership of God's Word

God's Word and God's Creation:

Believe it or not, God's intention has always been for all things in Creation, including man, to be subject to His Word.  The bible says in John 1 verses 1, 2 and 3, 'IN the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  He was in the beginning with God.  All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.'  Considering that God made all things through His Word, it is hardly surprising that God wanted all things to be subject to His Word.

In the garden of Eden, the Almighty gave His Word to Adam and Eve in form of an instruction.  They were to live by the Word.  God told them specifically that on the day they went against His Word, they would die.  This simply meant that the ultimate fate of Adam and Eve was not determined until they did something about or with the Word of God.  Until the couple chose what they wanted to do with the Word of God, they were on probation.  This meant that until they took a stand as regards God's Word, they were merely serving a probationary period.  They were neither good nor bad, they were neither perfect nor imperfect, they were neither pure nor impure and they were neither righteous nor unrighteous.  They were merely on probation.

The Almighty waited to see what the first human couple would do with His Word.  It was therefore not entirely surprising that the fate of Adam and that of his progeny or descendants were only determined or sealed after Adam had decided to take a stand concerning God's Word.  He and his wife chose to rebel against God's Word.

It was not until Adam rebelled against God's Word that nature's night began.  What is generally referred to as the fall of man was essentially man's rebellion against God's Word.  The deterioration and decay that we see in Creation is simply a result of man's rebellion against God's Word.

Hear the Almighty's verdict on man after his rebellion against God's Word as recorded in Genesis 3 verses 17, 18 and 19, 'Then to Adam He said, ''Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ''You shall not eat of it;''

''Cursed is the ground for your sake;
In toil you shall eat of it
All the days of your life.
Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you,
And you shall eat the herb of the field,
In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread
Till you return to the ground,
For out of it you were taken;
For dust you are,
And to dust you shall return.''

The Word of God and Israel:

God gave Israel His Word in form of the Law.  He did this through Moses and the prophets.  We must never forget that the Word of God is also the Law of God.  The first five books of the bible, also known as the TORAH, were therefore given to Israel to live by.  An inspired Moses told the children of Israel in Deuteronomy 8 verse 3, ''So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.''

Sadly, Israel also rebelled against God's Word.  Throughout most of her history, Israel has been a troubled nation.  This was mainly because of her rebellion against God's Word.  Prophet Isaiah, by inspiration, at a point, said, ''Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble, And the flame consumes the chaff, So their root will be as rottenness, And their blossom will ascend like dust;  Because they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, And despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.''

It is a historical fact Jerusalem was sacked in AD 70 when the people were scattered throughout the four winds of the earth.  Israel only became a nation again in 1948.  This is another confirmation that rebellion against God's Word always spells trouble, pain and disaster.

The Word of God in contemporary times:

Even in these end times, God has made His Word available in form of His Son.  The bible says in Hebrews 1 verses 1 and 2, 'GOD, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds.'

The Son of God referred to here is the same One written about in John 1 verse 1 as the Word of God who became flesh.  John 1 verse 14 states, 'And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.'

Now, every human's eternal fate is determined by what he or she does about Jesus Christ who is the Word of God.  John 14 verse 6 states, 'Jesus said to him, ''I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through Me.''  God is giving man another chance.  This chance can also be described as the last probation.  Should anyone rebel against the salvation and the lordship of Jesus Christ, and goes into eternity in that state of rebellion, such a person would have no choice than to spend his/her eternity in the lake of fire with the devil and his angels.  Knowing the terror of the Lord, we are privileged to be able to give this timely warning.

It is the decree of God the Father that every knee must bow to Jesus Christ.  Philippians 2 verses 9, 10 and 11 state, 'Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of all those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.'
