A statement from the regime's propagandists - released just ahead of the Prime Minister's visit to Japan next week - "solemnly warns puppet states" like the UK and Australia.
It said: The "UK and Australia are taking advantage of the present war manoeuvres against the North and they would face a miserable end if they join in and play with fire."
British troops are not taking part, but have a history of military co-operation with South Korea and their American allies.
This week the Stalinist regime turned on British troops, branding them "mercenaries" for aiding US and South Korean "war maniacs" in military exercises.
But the state-controlled Korean Central News Agency have warned the drills are war-mongering, even calling Britain a "vassal" of the United States.
It said: "The US imperialists and the south Korean war maniacs Monday launched Ulchi Freedom Guardian joint military drills aimed at a preemptive attack on the DPRK, according to CBS of south Korea."
It added: "Even mercenaries from seven vassal countries, including Australia and the UK, have joined them.
"The situation on the Korean peninsula has plunged into a critical phase due to the reckless north-targeted war racket of the war maniacs."
KCNA do not capitalise South Korea in any of their statements in an attempt to undermine the legitimacy of the state.
US and South Korean troops have practiced land, sea and air exercises over the 10-day exercise.
According to News.com, the soldiers will also rehearse "decapitation strikes", where they will practice taking out Kim Jong-un and his top generals
Earlier this month North Korea warned South Korea and America will be “pouring gasoline on fire” by conducting the annual war game in the South.
Pyongyang issued the statement after months of heightened tensions between the two countries that have seen US President Donald Trump threaten the pariah state with “fire and fury”.
An editorial in North Korea’s state newspaper Rodong Sinmun read: “The joint exercise is the most explicit expression of hostility against us, and no one can guarantee that the exercise won’t evolve into actual fighting.
“The Ulchi Freedom Guardian joint military exercises will be like pouring gasoline on fire and worsen the state of the [Korean] peninsula.”
Warning of an “uncontrollable phase of a nuclear war”, it added: “If the United States is lost in a fantasy that war on the peninsula is at somebody else’s doorstep far away from them across the Pacific, it is far more mistaken than ever.”
