Donald Trump's rise to the presidency of the United States is perhaps another confirmation that you do not need to be a long term or an established party official or a card-carrying member of either of the two major parties to become the leader of the free world.

All you need are, in no particular order :

1. An interest in the job
2. Tons of money
3. Great courage
4. A spirit of adventure that always pushes you to embark on something new, and lastly
5. You must be very daring

From my own reading of the gentleman, Mr Trump has all these qualities in abundance.

I can imagine the Republican party still struggling to recover from the shock of Mr Trump's ascension to power.  Donald Trump came, he saw and he conquered especially as the so-called professional politicians were beginning to take the people for granted.

I must also add that it is duplicitous and hypocritical of people to now be raising eyebrows at the way the president is going about things.  Come to think of it, if the president could ascend the throne with little or no help or input from  anyone, why would he not want to run the country his own way.

The only thing the president has to understand is that ascending the throne is not as difficult as actually running the country.

I personally believe that the president can still end up to be a roaring success if he calms down and is open to learning on the job.
