The president's latest tweets have revealed how his mind works as regards his current political woes.

Amid a flurry of ten tweets, the embattled president wrote :
'While all agree the US president has the complete power to pardon, why think of that when only crime so far is LEAKS against us. FAKE NEWS.'

The Presidency has been hit by a series of investigations into Russian meddling in last year's election and possible ties to Russia.

The Washington Post has reported that the president has made and is continuing to make inquiries concerning his authority to pardon aides, relatives or even himself in connection with the investigations.

Mr Trump also claims that people had asked why 'crimes' by opponent Hillary Clinton and former FBI director James Comey were not being investigated.
