Barcelona forward Neymar is closing in on a move
to Paris Saint-Germain after accepting their contract
offer, according to reports in Brazil.
Esporte Interativo claim that the French club are
willing to activate the 25-year-old’s €222 million
(£197m) release clause and want to finalise the transfer
 within the next two weeks.

Reports in Spain claim that Neymar is looking to move
clubs in order to boost his chances of winning the Ballon
d’Or by being the main star of a team – something
which he feels he is unable to do whilst playing
alongside Lionel Messi.Neymar, who has also attracted
interest from Manchester United and Manchester City,
is set to earn €30m (£26.6m) a year with PSG.

On Tuesday afternoon, reports in France claimed that
PSG’s sporting director, Antero Henrique, rushed back
to Paris in order to settle an ‘urgent matter’, which
included talks with the club’s president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
Barcelona and PSG have already been in talks
this summer over a deal for Marco Verratti, but the
French club are refusing to sell the Italy international.
