TENNIS LEGEND BORIS BECKER IN TROUBLE
 |
Boris Becker For a man who amassed tens of millions after first winning Wimbledon at just 17, it must have been tough to be declared bankrupt over a £3.34 million debt owed to a private bank. This is despite being the fifth-highest on-court earner in tennis history.
There have even been reports of unpaid debts in his native Germany. According to our sources, Becker, 49, is yet to pay a bill of £2,235 from the clergyman who conducted his marriage to the second Mrs Becker in St. Moritz eight years ago.
 Mr. & Mrs Becker
The marital situation of the twice-married, three-time Wimbledon champion could not have helped matters. His divorce from Barbara, his first wife, was reported to have cost him £12.5 million in cash, £2.4 million in fees and their matrimonial home in Miami. There was also a payout of £2.4 million after he fathered a daughter with a Russian model Angela Ermakova.
