ODD WORLD

DISMISSED FOR INFLICTING TOO HEAVY A DEFEAT ON OPPONENTS

Manager paid price when side won by 25-0

In a strange twist, the manager of a Spanish youth side has lost his job because his side won a match by 25 goals to nil.
The under-11 coach of Serrano B was removed for allowing his side to keep on scoring against fellow Valencia side Benicalap C.  Pablo Alcaide, who helps to run Serrano said, ''We believe in encouraging respect for your opponents.  After the result, we decided the manager should leave.''

Shocked and saddened, the sacked manager's lawyer stated that his client had not pushed his boys to keep scoring but their opponents continued to attack and left spaces behind them.
