Shinto Abe, the Japanese prime minister, has weighed in to condemn the nuclear ambitions of North Korea.  The Japanese are not taking the antics of pot-bellied Kim Jong-Un lightly even though Pyongyang's latest test failed abysmally.
The Japanese leader called the failed test 'absolutely unacceptable' and 'a grave threat to our country.'

One of Tokyo's major subways systems shut down all lines after receiving warning of a North Korean missile launch.  Reports confirmed that the temporary shutdown affected 13,000 passengers this morning.  It was the first time that service had been stopped in response to a missile launch.  South Korean officials say they are still analysing the type of missile the North fired.

North Korea's state media continues to reiterate the country's goal of developing a nuclear missile that is capable of reaching the continental United States.

The U.N. Security Council is 'mobilized' and unanimous on the need to denuclearize North Korea, according to France's U.N. ambassador. Pictured, file photo of North Korean ballistic missile
