The two nail-biting semi-final duels have come and gone and the 2017 finalists have now been decided. In the first semi-final, Chelsea were up against city rivals, Tottenham Hotspurs. After 120 minutes of an absorbing encounter, it was Chelsea that emerged winners having scored four goals to Tottenham's two. Even though Diego Costa, the Blues top scorer this season, continued to draw blanks, the goals nevertheless came from Willian, Hazard and Matic.

In the second semi-final, played yesterday, Arsenal took on Manchester City. It was a tense match at Wembley which also required extra time to decide who would go to the finals. Manchester City were the first to have a breakthrough through Aguero but the Gunners somehow found a way to draw level within the normal 90 minutes of play. It was during extra time that Arsenal striker, Alexis Sanchez, came up with the winning goal.
This result means Arsene Wenger will lead his team out in his ninth F A Cup final on May, 27th in what could be his final game in charge of the club.
