Monaco confirm intention to keep Arsenal and Manchester United transfer target Kylian Mbappe
Monaco vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has confirmed the French club intend to keep hold of teenage wonderkid Kylian Mbappe amid interest from Arsenal and Manchester United.
Mbappe, 18, has enjoyed a sensational breakthrough season for the Ligue 1 outfit, scoring 15 goals in 28 games.
The dynamic striker scored against Manchester City in both ties in the Champions League as Monaco stunned Pep Guardiola’s side to progress in the Champions League.
Premier League rivals Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham are all said to interesting in securing Mbappe’s services this summer, but Monaco have insisted they want the Frenchman to remain at the club.
Vide-president Vasilyev told RTL: ‘Our intention is to keep Kylian Mbappe. He is a product of our youth academy. He is our DNA. I am very proud.
‘We have a real team. The first half [against City] was excellent – the sort of performance that the very top teams make.’
