Arsenal's interim boss has been having sleepless nights since he took over

He spent most of his career at Arsenal, where he won honours including two Premier League titles and three FA Cups, scoring in two finals including the victory in 2002. He was also an international for a full decade. Freddie Ljungberg won 75 caps and represented the Swedish national team at UEFA Euro 2000, 2004 and 2008, as well as at the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups. He captained Sweden from 2006 until he announced his international retirement after UEFA Euro 2008.

Despite his sparkling soccer credentials, Ljungberg has been finding life difficult in the dugout. He had been put in temporary charge a few months ago after the dismissal of Unai Emery.

Considering that he has overseen a dire run of results, the caretaker manager has called on the club’s owners to appoint a permanent manager as soon as possible as the team continue to drift despite Ljungberg’s best efforts. Yesterday, they were resoundingly beaten by a rampant Manchester City. Arsenal have won only one of their past nine Premier League games.

Hopefully, the club owners will soon get him out of his misery with the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Mauricio Pochettino waiting in the wings.
