Chelsea are on the verge of completing the transfer of Edin Dzeko from Italian club Roma.
The Blues have been in talks with the Serie A giants over the last week and have combined
talks over the Bosnian with a deal for Roma full-back Emerson Palmieri.
At Chelsea, Dzeko will be a back-up for the currently misfiring Alvaro Morata.
The former Manchester City star would like Chelsea to match the length of his Roma deal
which runs until 2021. However, the Blues only offer one-year extensions to players over
30 and want a deal until 2020 for the 31-year-old.

Thursday after further talks with Roma today.
