Spontaneous protests broke out over the weekend
Nikki Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the U.N. said the body must condemn the assault on the freedoms of the Iranians
It is hardly surprising that President Donald Trump, being the leader of the Free World, has thrown his weight behind the people of Iran. He branded Tehran 'brutal and corrupt' following a judge's warning, according to an Iranian news agency, that demonstrators will face the death penalty.

After days of unrest, not less than 21 people have died and more than 450 have been arrested in Iran.
The U.S. president, who has been very critical of Tehran, said Tuesday that Iranians were 'finally acting'.
'All of the money that President Obama so foolishly gave them went into terrorism and into their "pockets," ' he said. 'The people have little food, big inflation and no human rights.'
Haley, in her own remarks, called on 'all freedom-loving people' to stand with the oppressed Iranians.
'If the Iranian dictatorships history is any guide, we can expect more outrageous abuses in the days to come. The UN must speak out,' she said. 'We must not be silent. The people are crying out for freedom. All freedom-loving people must stand with their cause.'
