The £600 million expansion of Westfied promises to make it the biggest shopping centre in Europe.
The immediate impact of the expansion is that over 8000 retail jobs will be created. The new extension opens in March.
These jobs will be available at Primark, Urban Revivo, Bravissimo and the boutique bowling venue Star Lanes.
As the extension will be at West London, residents of Hammersmith and Fulham have been promised priority in all job opportunities.
In a statement, Hammersmith council said,
''Working alongside Westfield, we aim to provide more employment and training to residents as we strive to make Hammersmith and Fulham the best place to live, work and socialise in Europe.
