Cambridge University : When students become scared of examination rooms

The prestigious university published a report saying undergraduate students were uncomfortable with 'exam room environments'

The prestigious University has been blasted for pandering to lily-livered students who claim exam halls stress them out.

For the past three years, more than half of students at Cambridge have been given permission to sit end-of-year tests in their own rooms.

This was simply because a report found a growing number are uncomfortable with the exam room setting.

The ivory tower even put images of exam halls on its website ahead of exams last year following complaints of a “lack of familiarity”.
Chris McGovern, of the Campaign for Real Education, said: “Exams are rightly tough and with a few exceptions, snowflake students shouldn’t be at university if they can’t cope.”
The Exam Review Final Report also said changes to college life during exam time — such as restricted student union opening — added to stress.
Cambridge University has been criticised for posting photos of exam halls following complaints of stressed 'snowflake' students
It is generally believed that changes to college environment ‘during the examination period’ can add to anxiety.
A spokesperson for Cambridge University said that the college "provided a comprehensive range of services to help students cope with exam stress."
