Nurses and helpers could be seen walking the tinsel-wearing pony through the University College London Hospital to see a girl, who has been recovering from the infection for the past three months.

Footage of the strange moment emerged on the patient's sister's Facebook two days ago.

The healthy-looking horse was boxed and taken to the ambulance loading bay, where it was escorted through the 'ambulances only' corridor.
It then awkwardly made it ways into a lift, going up 13 floors, before it was assisted backwards out of the elevator.

The female patient, who was hospitalised with E. coli after she went to doctors with a tummy bug 13 weeks ago, is said to be a passionate equestrian and her sister arranged for the special moment to take place.

Footage of the bizarre moment emerged on the patient's sister's Facebook page yesterday
