Antonio Conte will make a late attempt to convince
Kylian Mbappe to join Chelsea, having identified
the French starlet as the ideal replacement for
make a big play for Mbappe in the coming days,
with Antonio Conte set to meet the player and
his entourage over a potential transfer.A host
of clubs are trying to sign the 18-year-old
sensation this summer, with PSG recently
joining Real Madrid, Arsenal and Manchester
City in the hunt for his signature.
The Italian manager has reportedly been given
a huge summer war chest to strengthen his squad,
while he will also hope to land a big fee when
Diego Costa is sold.
The Spanish striker, wanted by the likes of
AC Milan and Atletico Madrid, revealed he
had been told he was no longer in Conte’s plans,
and the Blues hope to fetch at least £50 million
for him this summer.
At Chelsea, he would line up in a front three
alongside Belgian duo Eden Hazard and
Romelu Lukaku, with the latter widely expected
to re-sign for the club from Everton.
Nevertheless, it is Madrid who are at the most
advanced stage of negotiations with Monaco
and Mbappe, and Chelsea have a lot of catching
up to do in a very short amount of time.
